Matrix Ozik TP 6
n 2005, the Matrix OZIK TP-7 and TP-7x launched the OZIK phenomenon and became the “the only” $1,000 golf shafts. The OZIK TP-6 followed in 2007 to complete the most advanced, materially-complex shaft franchise ever created. Built for ball speed and sidespin reduction, the limited Matrix OZIK TP-7, TP-7x, and TP-6 will not be produced past February 2008 to make way for a further leap in technology. Look for it in Summer 2008.
Matrix OZIK TP-7, TP-7x, and TP-6 were born from our desire to bring together the world's finest materials, state-of-the-art design techniques, and obsessive craftsmanship, and to mesh them into "the only one" – the world’s most unique performance shaft.
Each OZIK TP-7 is made with Interply Hybrid Technology. Each piece is made from high modulus carbon graphite base. This base is then wrapped with two full-length layers of 118-thread count Russian Boron at competing angles for impact stability. These metallic layers are covered by one layer of ballistic, photo-sensitive Japanese Zylon for enhanced feel and tensile strength. Each piece is then finished with GMAT, a unique new graphite from the United Kingdom, which serves as a "casing" for consistency and durability. Each of these OZIK shafts is built in the United States using a 12-step, 6-day, 9-person process that insures unmatched symmetry. For 2007, OZIK TP-7 shafts transition away from their initial "soft feel" finish to a high polish navy blue.
